Gurgling sounds, hungry and cramping

I am just 3 days post op, So far it has not been easy but today I'm slightly feeling like myself at least. My problem is my insides feel like they're gurgling constantly. I can feel it and hear it. Also every once in a while I have a stabbing pain in my stomach that goes away quickly. I can't tell if I'm hungry or if it's just the surgery and will get better as I heal. Has anyone else had these problems?

Oh yes. Whenever I drank anything, my stomach would sound like there was a lion growling in there! I had no pain, but the stomach made and still makes the loudest sounds. I think of it as a sink full of water trying to get down a little drain... sucking, swishing, piggie snorting sounds as the liquid goes down the drain....

Me too, I'm 14 months out today and still have very loud gurgles and noises coming from my tummy. . .I like to hear them cause it lets me know that there are no leaks! The tummy pain I think would be just from the surgery, hang in there it'll be better soon. . . the gurglies, welcome them, they will soon become part of you. . good luck!

I am so glad I read this post. I am 6 days post surgery and I have the same stuff going on. Sometimes very painful that it takes my breath away. I am happy to know that at least the pain goes away. Thanks!!

Anyone ever seen that movie Spaceballs? I feel like the guy who feels a little nauseous in the restaurant, and an alien bursts out of his stomach singing "Hello My Baby" and dancing on the bar counter wearing a top hat? Kind of random, but my stomach is gurgling so much that I half expect that to happen (I'm 4 days post-op)! Too bad Gas-X hasn't helped.
