Keep up the good work. Is there somewhere we can get advise as we loose on how to get our brain to change as our body does?

Don't I wish!!! My eyes are still way too big for my sleeve, and I still try on new clothes, thinking "There's no way this will fit" and then find out that it's too big. I know it took my brain 50 years to get to this point, and it's only been 2.5 months since the surgery, but gee whiz -- enough already!!

I went to Cato's today to look at some tops, and just automatically went to the "big girls" side, then realized everything there was too big!! Is it me, or are the dressing rooms nicer on the "other side"????

I tried some clothes on that I haven't worn in at least 2 yrs, thinking there was no way they would fit yet. It's a good thing I did because they are almost too big!! If I waited much longer to try them on, I would have missed the window to wear them!! That was pretty cool!

Okay, I have to give a shout out for my newest NSV!!!!! I have never been in favor of exercise (my favorite Bible verse is "Bodily exercise profiteth little..." lol - not really!) But, at 2 years out things have to step up to keep my new body/health in check. So I bought a bike and started riding several days a week 2-3 miles and today, I DID A WHOLE 30 MINUTES ON THE ELLIPTICAL! Now, that is BIG for me! ha! Anyway, I have seen a real change just by increasing exercise and lowering carbs. Fight the good fight, 50's!!!! Peace.

Well I'm Home. Got home last night. THought I had posted here but must have forgotten to hit the post button. How can you come home from all of that nothing at all and only liquids' date=' and gain 11 lbs? Talk about discouraged. :-([/quote']

Don't get discouraged. I gained 15 pounds in the hospital from swelling and fluids, but lost all of it and more after the first week. I was sleeved on May 3 and am now down 35 pounds including a stall.

Everyone says it, but it really does get better every single day. I'm now on solid foods and eating very tasty food. Love my sleeve!

Weighed today, have lost all of the hospital gain plus 2 lbs. That put a smile on my face, lol. :D Having trouble getting the clear Protein down for some reason. Things that tasted good before don't taste good at all right now. I have some low carb strawberry Protein Drink and I'm trying it today, even if it isn't clear. close to getting all of my Water in, but a little short. going to really push that hard today.

WTG. I am so proud of you. Hope to be right behind you. I know it had to be in the early 90's or late 80's since I last saw onederland. Enjoy.

I am really struggling to lose the extra I have put back on. It's not nearly as easy at 3 years than even a year ago. I am exercising and eating right and it's not coming off. It's discouraging. I am going to keep at it though. I don't want to buy new pants!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
