STUCK ON SCALE-Did it happen to you?

Recommended Posts

2 weeks post op down 24 lbs, 3rd week post op same weight. Is this the point where you get stuck? I work out 5 days a week burning 400 plus calories. Now they say it takes 7 days to gain or loose. What is up? I moved to pureed food 7 days ago, is this it? Some of you experienced sleevers HELP?

Yup I had a 10 day stall, up and down the same 3 pounds for 10 days. I also gain one or two days every month. I am beginning to think it's ovulation, and I get way hungry for crap for2 days before my period and have lost only one pound the week before. I am only twelve weeks out and a little obsessed with the scale, 2-3 times a day, so time will tell. Just keep eating Protein, getting fluids, and exercising. Btw, antihistamines make me retain Water too.

I had a little stall around three weeks. My clothes were fitting bigger though. I really think it is something biological because so many sleevers go through stalls here and there. Then the scale starts moving again.

Hey! I'm with you! I'm 23 days out and stalling. I'm about 17lbs down so I'm pretty happy anyway! I'm glad this board is here so I knew to expect it. I'm trying to get the Protein it-that is supposed to help. Sounds like you are doing better with working out!

Yep! I stalled at the 3 week mark too (for about 10 days.)

I've also noticed a trend around the 3 month mark here where a lot of us have had a BIG stall (22 days.) So just be prepared. Even though will all *know* they will happen, and that they are mostly unavoidable, they still suck.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
