Anybody head of this alternative to protein from food/shakes?

Has anyone heard of Proteinex 18? 18 grams of protein in 2 liquid tablespoons. May not taste great but can be diluted in juice. If this is legit this would really help me protein wise...I have a hell of a time getting my protein in...what do y'all think? (google proteinex 18 if you're not familiar with it)...thanks!!!!!!!!

I buy protein shots that are only 2.9 oz and have 25 GRAMS of protein in them. They are called Proasis and I buy them at Wegmans supermarket. They are a bit sour so I dilute them in sugar free decaf tea... Great way to get pack some protein in!!

I found these at WalMart, but haven't tried them yet. I had asked the nurse at my doctor's office and she said they would be okay for the very beginning that they they eventually want me to get my protein from food versus supplements.

I agree but at this point I can't imagine being about to get that much food down! LOL What a change from before!! I can barely eat 1/4 cup of food!!!

If they are made of collagen, I would limit their use to once in a while. My Nut said they are a no-go. The quality of the protein is rather low. Collagen is made from boiled animal hide. If you can't get any protein down except this, then it is better than nothing for sure.

ive seen those but that would take 6 tablespoons for 25g of protein...vs 3 tablespoons of the Proteinex for 27g of protein...the less i have to drink the better for me!! my tummy is so small and picky!

thank you for the heads up! ill check it out!

B)I use the Whey Protien shots by Body Fortress found at Walmart. 29G protien for 2.9 oz. Nasty stuff but a good way to get protien, collagen or not!

It is collagen-based protein, but a little protein is better than none. Grant it, your body is not going to absorb and utilize it much because it's such a low quality of protein. I used the shots with my band surgery because I couldn't stand the taste/texture of protein shakes. With the sleeve, I couldn't use them at all. I tried my best, but they were a no go.
