Hello Everyone.!

I am new to this site and I am set to be sleeved 01/13/2014. I am nervous but excited for what my future holds. I pray for no complications and a smooth transition. I am also having my gallbladder removed due to complications I have been having for the past year with it. I will continue to look at this site for guidance and to hear others and there stories.

Hi everyone.

I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself to everyone. I was sleeved on the 19th of Dec. As of last week I was 23 pounds down. I will have my 3 week post op weigh in tomorrow. I love my sleeve with all my heart. No complications. No pain. Having trouble remembering to eat and drink but that's not the worse thing in the world! :) wishing everyone the best!

ualaw08- can you provide us with your starting stats? Weight/Height? Just wondering as I'm scheduled to be sleeved 1/13/14 and getting an idea of where somone started helps me get a gauge for where I may be. Btw I'm 5'3 HW-220

Rny here, but haven't found a thread for people of color there. Just had my final dr. Visit today and turned in all my paperwork. Hoping for a February surgery. By the way, I'm 49 and single in Columbus, Ohio

Best wishes to all the newbies. You're going to start on your way to a rewarding, but sometimes frustrating journey. You'll have successes, stalls, and some issues with your new sleeve, but your life is going to change for the better. I was sleeved on 2/19/13 and have lost 116lbs on my way to my goal of a total of 150lbs lost.

Thanks for sharing! It helps much to see where I could be in less than ONE YEAR ????! I am so looking forward to my future! Sleeved on 12-18 and down 24 lbs today. Saw the doc today and free to start working out a bit more. Hopefully, that will give me more energy.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
