Hello To All Sleevers In Waiting & Those Sleeved :)

Recommended Posts

Hello Sleeve Sisters & Brothers,

My name is Davida (Da-Vee-Da) not David (lol). I have been lurking the boards for while and secretly receving insight and encouragment from all of you. Your struggles, sucesses, and concerns are mine as well. I have decided after a life long struggle with my weight and a straight 15 years of yo-yo dieting that I am getting sleeved. My new beginning date is Jan 6th 2011, less than a month after my 41st birthdate. I just wanted to say Hi and to thank all of you for baring your souls on these forums, your words are not in vain. Even though no one may say it, you are helping and encouraging people like me. I have so many emotions regarding this surgery, but I know the Creator did not bring me this far to leave me. I have been stuck on this chapter of my life to long, it's time to turn the page. I know the best is yet to come. Stay encouraged All.

Davida

Welcome to the board and thanks for your kind words. As I have said before, I doubt I would be getting this surgery without these forums to encourage me. I am five days away from getting sleeved and am nervous but very hopeful. God has opened all the doors for me and I know he won't leave me to my own devices now. I hope all goes well for you in your future sleeve plans.

Anne

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
