starting my journey

hello all and thank you for this great site, I have done alot of research on the gastric sleeve and have decided it is the best option for me. I have been overweight since the 3rd grade and am now 31 yrs old and 373 lbs. I have three wonderfull girls that are the light of my life and would do anything I could for them, so not only is this decision for me its also for them. I need all the support I can get though because my other family doesnt believe in me that I will do this or follow through with it as of now my surgery is set for 01/15/10 please keep me in your thoughts and any comments will be greatly appreciated

It's hard because we have failed in the past with other things. This is not going to be the magic bullet but it is definitely a great tool. I am sorry your family is not being supportive. I had that fear, but once I explained why I am doing this and the success that people have had with this, I now have family support. I'm having surgery dec 1, so I will keep you posted on my journey. The more I read, the more things I know to expect. We all have fears along with the excitement. Good luck and let us know if you need anything.
