A personal thanks to the owner and moderators

Recommended Posts

Alex and the Moderators.

I just wanted to say thanks for providing and maintaining LBT and giving so many people the chance to get support (and vent).

Running a forum is often a thankless task, and I felt it important enough to rectify that.

Many people have been saying thanks on various threads, but being the busy folks you are - I saw no harm in making a thread.

Keep fighting the good fight.

I have to make this comment.

I have been to some of the "other WLS forums" and well, this to me is the best run of all of them.

It is well laid out, has great upkeep and has a wealth of RELIABLE information and great people.

Thank you for a well thought out board!

I agree with wavydaby. I have been on many boards, and many weight loss boards, and this is the best run so far. And I am a perfectionist. LOL I one of those that if I can't find a board I like on one particular topic, I make my own. And seeing as how I have not created a wls board, that means something. :)

Penni, Alexandra, Alex...after dealing with you guys personally over the last couple of weeks, I have to thank you for sticking through it all and come to solutions that have been working for everyone. I know its tough, I am in your shoes every day on other boards.

Good thread dawg. thank you.

Thanks guys, there have been days when most of us just wanted to lay low for awhile. I admire that you guys were not only in on the fight, but did your best to rope and tie them all, rodeo style.

I figure with all the time you have spent on this board it has become a second job; that you are not paid is a testament to your dedication. Thank You.

Awww, thanks, y'all. :biggrin1:

And I agree that this is the best messageboard site I've ever seen--and I am NOT taking any credit for that. From the very first minute I saw it I felt that way. For me, the lack of advertising makes it a uniquely welcoming place and one I want to preserve in any way I can. So by being a moderator, I'm just acting out of Enlightened self-interest.

Alex B. has given and continues to give the banding community an incredibly valuable gift. :clap2: :clap2: :kiss2: :kiss2:

Not being banded - I have appreciated how accepted I have been here -- that, I'm sure, is due in part to the great moderators!!! Keep up the good job and thanks for making an insane 'family' of friends bearable on the most difficult days!

I'll give my thanks again to every one, this job isn't easy and is often thankless, and at times very difficult. I have been to other banding forums and weight loss sites, but this is the only one I keep coming back to and I'm proud to call it my online home. Keep up the great work guys!

Ditto - and I think even those who did have concerns or complaints over certain things can still see that this is a voluntary task and appreciate you putting your time into it.

Thanks to everyone, for always being here to give advise and support.

I don't visit often, as I work full time, and take care of my ailing mother, BUT......this is the first place I run to when I have a problem with the band or in need of advice.

Thanks for caring, and for sharing.

Hugggggssssss to everyone. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
