Do Not Feed The TROLLS

Recommended Posts

A "bump" is when someone posts to a thread just to bring it back to the top of the forum. The thread that was last added to shows up first in the viewing order (unless it has been made sticky, which means a moderator has set it to always show on top). So if someone wants to make sure something stays highly visible, they will "bump" it (aka post something to it) to make it show first.

There are a few threads that explain acronyms and webspeak for band things. "Bump" is generic -- not band/forum specific. I don't know that I've seen a generic "dictionary" pop up here.

I don't think this is a very good thread for newbies. It makes LBT look like nothing but a place where people bicker and fight all the time. It brings up old issues that should be dead and buried. If they need to be informed about trolls, then start a new thread with the important information instead of resurrecting an old thread that involved a lot of controversy. I know you meant will, as I have seen your posts and you definitely seem to be a loving, caring person. I just disagree with bringing this particular thread back.

Very sorry Susan you took it like that....of course it wasn't my intention. You have brought up an excellent point though. Perhaps it is better to start a new thread instead of including the entire thread....something to definitely consider next time. However the mods would certainly have locked this thread had it been what you described.

The last thing I want newbies or pre-members to think is that LBT is a place of controversy. Really, that was the reason for bumping this thread. Again, I appreciate your feedback and I still feel this is good info as I had NO idea of this until I read the thread. I lived in a small cyber-world b4 LBT.

A bump is simply a new post that will bring an old thread to the top.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
