wondering if I am on track

Hi!

I went for my 30 day check up today and I am down 24 lbs. The dietician said it was slow considering I lost about 10 from the liquid diet before surgery. I was so depressed sitting in the waiting room waiting to see the surgeon. All I kept thinking was "I have sacrificed so much, had surgery, completed change my stomach" and I still won't do it?

When the surgeon came in and asked how I was I told him a little bummed about such a slow weight loss and he said I am right on target. He said they consider your wl before surgery as well as part.

Who is right a month out? I know we are all different but it is bothering me.

I did not weigh until I went to the dr.'s today.

I know people are noticing, I know 24 lbs is 24 lbs, but I want to be sucessful and considering I am not eating much at all it seems wrong.

How much did you lose at your 30 days ? Thanks for your input

Diane

Tomorrow is one month for me. As of tonight, I'm down 18 pounds. That is since surgery morning, not including any pre-op weight loss. I'll see if I shed anything by morning. I was hoping to be at 210 at one month so that means I need to let go of 1.8 pounds over night. It doesn't really matter to me. I feel like my body is changing and I'm feeling good. The weight is going to come off. Will it happen in 6 months? Who the heck knows but this is for the long haul.

I think you're doing great Diane!

Great attitude Lee, you really are doing good:thumbup1:

I am gonna let your attitude rub off on me!

Thanks

And something we need to remind ourselves... this is weight GONE FOREVER, not gone just to come back. It's nice to know, if it's 1 pound or 20, it's GONE GONE GONE! Yahoo!

I love this! What a great reminder for all of us when the dreaded "stall(s)" happen.:001_tongue:

thanks all! i know i must tell myself these things, to keep motivated and moving forward... being that i had the band, lost 80% of my goal weight, only to lose the band, gain almost ALL of that weight back... i just have to tell myself "this is it, you can do it!" and move forward one step at a time! we're on our way! best to all!:smile::smile::smile::smile:

You are doing great! Remember that everyone is different. I was told so many times to take measurements and didn't and now totally regret it. It's exciting to see the clothes fall off.
