Question for those who Ride an Exercise Bike

Hi All,

I have a recumbent bike at home and would like to use it to get my exercise in. My question is when post-op where you able to get on the bike without any discomfort? I am afraid to get on it once I have stitches and all.

TIA,

Pennie

I'll be curious about this answer as well. :thumbup1:

I was told by my doctor to hold off on exercise other then walking til i saw him for my 1 month visit. . . he said the tummy needs to heal properly and not get hurt by doing weights or other types of exercises. . . he just perferred it this way. . . but thats my doctor, others may be different. . . thanks!

The standard protocol for my surgeon's sleeve patients is absolutely zero working out other than walking (no more than 2-3 miles per day) for the first 4-6 weeks.

Due to my complications, I was not released to work out, or walk more than 1 mile per day until my 3.5month post-op follow up.
