Christmas in the hospital

I am 23 days post op and wondered if anyone else has experienced what i did over the holidays. Since comng home from surgery I haven't had any complications. I have been able to drink and eat jello and pudding with no problems. In week 2, I did start feeling weak but for the most part I could just rest for awhile and keep on going. That ALL changed Christmas Eve day. I began throwing up continuously - to the point of dry heaves. I was admitted to the hospital on Christmas Day and just released yesterday (Tuesday). I had a scan done and the tummy looked great.

Has anyone else been this far out and experienced nausea to this degree?

I got the gastrointestianal bug the day after Christmas. YUCKS. If I had gotten it 3 weeks out I would have been in the hospital too I bet. I got very dehydrated and was kinda wondering if I could have a nurse come and hook me up to an I V. I managed to get better on my own, but, if I had not improved I would have gone in to the hospt.

I hope that is all you had. Sounds like your sleeve is fine. GREAT news. Now, back to normal recovery and great new things. Walk, water, protein. = fantastic results.

Lucygoose,

I'm sorry to hear you went through this. I'm glad your tummy is fine and you're on the mend.

I was back in with dehydration a couple of weeks post op, but I was throwing up over christmas too :( Hope you are feeling better!
