Linda, prayers coming back your way too!

Sarita, I'm excited and nervous. I try to focus on everything but the surgery and post op so I don't get bogged down in the "what ifs" that I'm so good at fretting about! I spent today trying to think about why I decided on this venture to begin with. I wish you the best of luck and will pray for your success as well!

Hi, I am going in on the 15th and am not sure how I am feeling. One minute I am freaking out thinking this is crazy, what am I doing to myself, the next minute I am excited about the end result. My two week preop has been really easy so I know I will cope with the post op diet, but I think I am struggling with the irreversible side. I am filled with so many thoughts, nerves, being excited, doubts, I am a all over the place a bit!! Good luck to everyone else who is getting sleeved, in the next day or so, I look forward to hearing about your experiences!!

Congrats to those of you getting sleeved in the next day or two. Linda, I am having knee surgery on the 15th. I have decided not to have any more surgeries for two years and then I will probably do the Tummy Tuck, upper arm batwing, and putting the girls back where they are supposed to be surgery.:drool5:

Hey Chilli - sleeve buddies or sleeve sisters as Tracy called it! Less than 12 hours till I leave for the hospital early tomorrow morning. Hope we are all back here in a day or two posting our stories and telling everyone how good we feel and how well it's going.

Hard to imagine what it's going to be like post-surgery, but at least we have some idea thanks to all those who have come before us and posted their stories.

Talk to you all soon,

Sarita

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
