Paid Posters and Other annoying people

I too have grown tired of the paid posters who come on here to start crap and promote their paycheck with false advertising and misinformation. I have to commend zsflower for at least being honest about who she is. Shirley doesn't do that and hopefully she will be permanently banned for not following this board's protocol. I am not using her screen name but most of you know who she is. I have recently placed three people on my "ignore List" by going under User CP, settings and options. It is funny to look at threads where they have been deleted because only their name appears but not the spiteful things they say. This makes the ability to read threads here on VST so much more pleasant. Others of you might want to block them as well. It does not appear that Alex wants to force employees of doctors to be honest in their postings as that might decrease his personal paycheck. Hopefully, he will change his mind and care more about the safety of the people researching surgery than the kickbacks he receives for allowing paid posters access to us.

Wow-- I had no idea there was this kind of controversy around here. I'm a newbie so I guess I haven't been around long enough to see this stuff.

That's what I'm talking about Donna. I didn't even think about posters getting paid. :ohmy:WOW.

During the year that I have been participating in this forum, I have learned to let posts that are confrontational just roll off my back.......and I embrace the ones that seem genuine.

If nothing else, I have just learned a new trick so that I can block posters who are not edifying, supporting, or bariatric curious. It took me a minute to figure out what CP meant, but I got to the right place by going to my account.

So, the recent paranoid poster who keeps accusing us of attacking him by responding to his drama (and repeatedly threatens to leave and won't go) is the only one I have blocked, but at least I know how to manage that. Thanks for the tip.
