Codes?

Hello Everyone,

I found out last week that my insurance would pay for me to have a band. I would rather have the sleeve. They won't tell me if they will cover that without me telling them the medical code for the sleeve. Does anyone know what the code for this is? :thumbup1:

Thank You, Judy

What insurance do you have? I might have the guidelines you need.

I have Humana Commonwealth Optimum PPO.

I finally found out the code by calling a hospital that does the surgery. I then called the insurance co. and they said that it was an unlisted code with them right now but the Dr could get it preauthorised. I guess we will see. Thanks, Judy

P.S. the code for the sleeve is 43659. Maybe this will help someone else.
