Has Anyone completed their Journey

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if anyone is done with their lapband and completed their journey? Have you lost all your weight ? Does the band come off? I am about to get my date for surgery, I was very excited about the surgery, and loosing all my weight. Then I found this website, and see the following:

  • These weight lines on the bottom of these posts that show how much there is to go, I havent seen one yet that show's 80-100% of their goals, where are these folks?
  • all the things that can happen with pain, and eating problems, band slipping?

I am not trying to be negative, I want the surgery but some of these posts are freaking me out,and now I am thinking about it with some fear that I didnt have before. Is it possible that the people who have finished their journey are just not on here?

Please advise, Just a bit nervous.

i'm over 50% to goal.. But i've only been banded less then 9 months.. I plan on being close to 80% by my one year mark. Alot of the people here are new bandsters.

I have lost 93 pounds in less than 18 months, with only about 12 or 15 pounds to go, and I honestly don't see that I even need to lose more at all. My jeans are size 4, my dress pants a 6.

Hi Mandy,

Why is hard to maintain your goal, Don't you still get full right away and can still only eat very little? Just trying to understand what the end will be like?

I am not at goal yet, that is Babs. I still get really full pretty fast and stay that way for hours. I had popcorn shrimp for lunch and I won't eat another full meal today. Maybe a piece of cheese and a slice or two of turkey lunch meat. ~Mandy
