It's official!! I'm ba-ba-banded!! :)

Was banded yesterday morning. Totally felt like a truck ran me over, but woke up this morning feeling a bit better... I know once I make it through the next few days, things will start to feel more "normal."

I'm surprised (but not complaining!) that I don't have more gas pain (I remember it well from when I had a c-section 3 years ago). Just pain on my left side where my port is.

I'm excited for the days to come! :)

I had my surgery wed and the bloating is the worst part so uncomfortable lots of pressure in my chest and pain in shoulder any tips?

I too suffered with that as well. I also had hernia repair which was a double whammy. I was told by my surgeon to start taking extra strength Tylenol in liquid form, it is only available as children's so I needed to triple the dose to 3 tsp. he said it helps heal from the inside out. Well I can honestly say that once I started it yesterday afternoon, I started coming around. Today was a better day and I start stage 2 on Sunday and am looking forward to some farina! Aaa heheh the simple things!

I also used a heating pad continually and propped myself up with pillows. Walk when you can, I did figure eights all around my kitchen lol! It gets better and you will look back and say wow!

I was banded Sunday and had the same problem. I promise you will feel better soon. My heating pad was the best thing to help with shoulder pains. Keep on top of your pain meds as well, even if you are feeling ok.
