  1. Thankyou both so much for your encouraging words.. I have definitely realized that the demon I need to battle is not eating my emotions. How are you all progressing??
  2. Hello my band buddies... I have been AWOL for a month or so now, so I'm sorry for not being there to support and encourage you all. I have been stuck in my own "poor me" downward spiral and have not been in a great headspace. I have stayed away from the site because as strange as this sounds, I have tried to pretend that I don't have a lapband. Silly huh? But I have really been struggling with the restrictions - the small bites and the chew lots. It has taken my satisfaction away from eating, and as I medicate myself with food, have found myself in a place where when I feel sad, mad, tired, or stressed, I struggle to make myself feel better. I have been eating the wrong foods but my band is keeping me at small portions, so I have not gained weight. But I haven't lost any either. I haven't had any more fills but am planning to schedule one for next week. I really need some words of encouragement to get me back on track xx
  3. Welcome!! There is a tab at the top of the screen for surgeons.. you might have some luck there. I'm in Australia so I can't help lol. I was banded on August 6th and have so far lost 41 pounds, and I can tell you that I don't regret getting the band at all! Although I have had success with weight watchers in the past, this time around I needed a different tool. Best of luck with your journey
  4. That's great! Is the plan the more weight you lose, the less pills you'll need?
  5. I take a couple of tablets but have no problems getting them down, including my multi which is a big one
  6. Name- Angela/angemc Goal for September 30- 352 Weight on September 30- 359 Goal for October 31- 350
  7. Well done!! You should feel very proud
  8. No I don't think I am in the green... definitely noticing a difference with this second fill though. Not in terms of restriction but what I can eat and how I eat it. Bread has become a little difficult to pass through the band but I have adjusted to it. My doc only puts in 1cc per fill so I'm now at 6cc in a 14cc band.
  9. 21lbs is fantastic well done! I'm still learning with the small bites, and this last fill is pushing me to get better at it because if I don't bite small and chew well, it gets stuck!!! Up until now I could still eat normally with no problems, but not now !!
  10. Well I had my second fill today and doc put another 1cc in, bringing me to a total of 6cc's. I was also pleased to see there was nothing wrong with my scales lol and his scales showed a 40lb loss since I started pre-op. I'm very happy to see things finally turning around
  11. Make that 5lbs for the month!! Woohoo just hit the 40lb loss mark. Seriously hoping my scales are working properly lol!!
  12. That's great news. I'm doing well. Getting my second fill today. And I've now lost 40lbs!! So happy to have lost 5 this week after staying the same for three weeks! I've got 4cc in at the moment and still not in the green zone. I'm eating more than a cup three times a day to satisfy my hunger so I definitely need today's fill.
  13. I don't know for sure but I've heard there is a lot of indigestion and reflux. It's worth still giving your doc a call and making sure everything is ok, even if you do feel better!
  14. Its hard to change a lifetime of habits.. I still catch myself taking big bites and not chewing well. Hope you're feeling better soon
