I've been on myfitnesspal since my pre-op diet' date=' and it is great! My doctor isn't that concerned with calories, but he does want to make sure I'm getting in enough Protein every day, and I like how it tracks all of that for you, plus your weight. It's so great too for tracking what you eat, with the bar code reader and all. I just love it! If anyone gets on it, add me as a friend! I'm MammaJamma42 on there too. We can help support each other there and here! :)[/quote'] MFP is the best 100+ days and counting!

I'm a month after y'all. I love how we all KNOW our surgery dates. I call it my REBIRTH date! I'm finally in the GREEN. Shocking to see how such a little amount of food satisfies me. Shocking to see that I do 65 mins of cardio, six times a week. Shocking that I'm now in regular sized clothes.

I don't know why it's that shocking...... This is what a lap band does for a person that works with it to lose weight !!!!!

I've lost 60#. haven't had a fill since dec. don't know if this is the "green" zone or not. I just know that I feel great, continue to lose (slowly), and I can live with this.

My surgery was on 7/18/13. I think I have about 3 cc's in my band right now, and I'm down 72.5 pounds. I go in for my monthly visit today, but I doubt if I'll get a fill. I think I'm probably in the green zone. I can't eat certain things or eat very fast or I get stuck. I know people have lost much faster than I am, but I can definitely live with this rate. People are finally starting to notice! :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
