I've done a looooong slow run on the treadmill this morning - I had two lectures to listen to that were podcast and I decided to walk and listen to them, but walking got too boring, lol. So a very slow easy run, but I covered 7kms - YAY, I'm trying to build up to 8 to do a fun run in september. Man, it feels SO good to see that you've burned 750 calories!

I'm not even tired, before I even got on the treadie I'd hung out two loads of bed linen I washed and vacuumed and mopped the kitchen and family room floor, not to mention all the making of lunches and breakfasts and dropping the kidlets to school

I'm making a concerted effort to spend less time on the computer and burn more calories by doing more around the house, its a pigsty and incidental exercise is a big determiner of how fat or thin you are. Gonna wash some windows later this arvo.

Niche,

Good idea on yoga. I want to do a yoga class someday. I've never done one before, only DVD's. I hear that the stars do yoga to elongate their abdomen. That would be a great thing.

I've just been to the gym - a change is as good as a holiday. Having a treadmill at home has made ALL the difference to exercising regularly but its nice to have a change of environment. I did a 4km run on their treadmill chatting to the girl next to me, the time flew.

Then I went into the new circuit room - one of those ones with the flashing light and the hydraulic equipment and did a solid 30 minutes in there. It was great, I think I'm going to go back to being a regular at the gym - I wont cancel my membership afterall.

I love circuit, I find lifting weights pretty boring and mundane, and it makes it fun. I guess you're stuck with a high repetitions low weight routine though.

200 laps around my house chasing kids! Had someone working on my house all day and very frustrated that I couldn't make it to the gym. Had 3 hour practice for club team (we leave for Nationals on Saturday) in 110 degrees weather. Hopefully I sweated off some calories! Tomorrow I will be in Hollywood all day, dancing and walking. Plan on hitting the gym about 9pm tomorrow night when I get back to town! Let's see if I stick to that!!

Has anyone tried the Cardio chair by Body by Jake? My mom gave me one and..DAMN its like running...but your sitting down!! It is a real work out...I didnt belive it would be...but it had become my favorite machine to work out on. I also just got the Core Secrets program..ya know..the big ball you work out with? I love it...its different..and I can tell the difference already!

Im still not weighing in..I just cant do it..I know what will happen..and I will get pissy if I havent lost. I go to the DR again on Aug 14th for a second fill ( since the first one didnt do a thing!) and I will report the weight loss..or gain ( NO FREAKIN WAY!) then.

Thanks! Everyone!

great dame, i hear you on the no scale thing. it ends up being a de-motivator for me when i lose cuz then i feel like i can eat and eat. but when i realize that i haven't lost, i feel super motivated (like right now). so i guess i just have to use the scale sparingly. i've been eating well for 2 weeks, but i don't want to get on a scale b/c i'm afraid i'll regress. so i'm staying off of the scale... for now.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
