Day 5 Post op-Stomach Gurgling

Starting to worry. When I drink my protein shake or liquids, my stomach begins to make these gurgling sounds. I'm hoping it just means that I'm hungry and that I haven't stretched my pouch or stitches! Any one else experience these noises?

Almost three years post banding and my stomach still makes a lot of noise. Get used to it...nothing to be concerned about. This is not a sign of stretching your pouch, just one of the lovely results of being banded.

Learn to laugh it off since there is nothing you can do to change it!

I'm one week post-op, and I'm hearing the same thing. I just figured it was the liquid trickling through the band into the lower half of my stomach. I've never heard so many bowel sounds without a stethoscope! LOL

I am one day pre op and my stomach is growling away ;)

It is normal, doesn't even mean you are hungry. You have air and Fluid flowing through your system. I am over a year out and still have gurgling. I even still forget and gulp my Water and eat to fast so that adds to the air in your system.

5 months post op and she gurgles. It is Audrey (my band's name) saying "Feed me, Feed me!" Then after a few ounces she says , "stop feeding me!" I think it may be they noise we will hear for some time.

Lee You should change your profile name to Seymour. :) I am guessing your comment was a reference to 'Little Shop of Horrors.'

I'm a week post op. my belly makes a lot of noise as well. Especially when I lie down or change positions. I'm having a lot of gas period. Doc said that's normal. I had to take some milk of mag to get things moving. Less gas today. Keep track of your symptoms and discuss with your doc at post op appt
