Ok, Idahoans! It's time to mark your calendars! This month I'm reminding you prior to 15 minutes before the meetings! *laughs* Hope to see you all there!

St. Alphonsus Support group

Tuesday, May 9th, 7:00pm - 8:30pm

In the white "tent" behind St. Al's.

Usually about 30 people, led by two psychologists. Relaxed invironment.

Meets every month on the second Tuesday of the month.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Idaho Bandsters Soup Night

Tuesday, May 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. at Johnny Carino's at Fairview

and Eagle in Boise/Meridian.

Take the Eagle Road exit off of the Interstate and turn right onto Eagle

Road. At Fairview Avenue, turn right, and then turn right into the parking

lot when you see Johnny Carino's (before the next light).

Last month we met at Outback Steakhouse. Great food and great fun. There were about 15-20 of us.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Walking groups. Some people have started getting together for walking. If you live in or around the Boise area and are interested in finding walking partners, hop onto Yahoo groups and search for Idahobandsters. Join the group and let us know you're wanting to walk. I'm sure there's a group you could join, or you could start your own. See you on the greenbelt (bring lifejackets).

St Al's support group meets tomorrow night! Who's coming??

Hippos Hope and Dasharoo, if either of you make it to the meeting, let me know who you are, ok?

Shackdog, I hope to see you there. Haven't heard much from you lately and I'm beginning to wonder what's up.

Veritas, will you be able to join us? We missed you last time. :P

I'm sure Jackie, Carla, Linda, Dawg and I will all be there. I hope to get to meet some of the newer folks too!

Be there, or be square! *chuckles*

If anyone has any questions about the locations or anything, PM me.

Hi Sue,

Yep, I'll be there. Along with my Centrum liquid vitamines to give to Wendy - I came as close to throwing up as I have in a year after trying to take those today. NAAAAAAAAAAAASTYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you tomorrow night!

I hope Hippo's Hope and Dasharoo can make it. It would be really great to meet them.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
