Diarrhea on day 4 of liquid diet

Hi all ~ Just trying to find out if this is a reaction to the liquid diet or maybe a medication reaction. The 1st 3 days of the liquid diet have been a relative breeze, just through dogged determination. Today, however, I have been experiencing annoying diarrhea. Not sure if it is switching over my pain medication to a patch (less to swallow later) & a side effect of that or my body adjusting to liquid diet or both. Anyone else have this experience? Also wondering if this will pass? The pain med is one that I hope loss of weight will help me be able to stop! Less weight, less back / neck pain, less pain med needed is one ultimate goal!

Liquid in, liquid out! When in doubt, check it out! If you still have a problem in the morning and want medical advice call your surgeon's office! I hoe that didn't come out mean! didn't mean to. Karen

Not mean at all! Much appreciated!

100% agree with karen...liquids in and liquids out

if dr okays it, immodium ad is a life saver as is taking a probiotic...

Diarrhea hit me on day 3, but it stopped after that and then I got constipated I guess form the pain meds. I'm 4 weeks out and doing great and you will too just give it some time.
