Including the two weeks of pre-op, this is day 18.....yuk. This liquid routine is making me a little crazy (and I am a bit starving which isn't helping)!!

I'm no longer on a liquid phase, but even still, BOTH hands are raised!! No doubt, the worst part of the journey. But there is a reason for it, and you WILL get through it ;)

My best suggestion is....be as creative as you possibly can. Switch it up so you don't get completely nauseous from the thought of another Protein shake. It's still pretty bad, but switching gears between sweet and pungent, is what helped me through.

How much longer do you have to go? Are you on clear liquid only, or on full liquids?

Its only 7 days. I am tired of it but hey I know if I don't follow it I wont get the results im looking for. I only have 3 more days to go then I am on the second week. I have my first july 17th. Funny thing I was banded on Friday and im still not hungry. Must be working lol

I am so glad that I didnt have to do the pre op diet, the post op one drove me mental, I was fit for eating my own feet by the end of it I was that desperate to chew on something. Keep your chin up hon, it will be worth it!

havent had soup or broth since coming off post op....

and i use to love love soup.......

I'm with ya sister!!

Well it seems we are all on the same page!! I only had two weeks pre-op too. but now it's the 10 days of liquids (send your creative ideas my way please) and I can't believe I am going to say this, I am looking forward to the 10 days of puree/mushy foods (I'll take suggestions there too)! My surgery was June 14, 2013, so I am on liquids until June 23rd.

Are you on full liquids, or Clear Liquids? Makes a big difference!

I think I might be the only one that enjoys Protein shakes? Now, granted I haven't started the pre-op diet, but I'm not a huge Breakfast person. I'm also not sure if my surgon will allow me to have my normal Protein Shakes. I usually use almond milk, with a frozen banana and then add a variety of different things depending on what I want. I've made a mocha shake before, pineapple and peach, peach, berries, etc. I currently use Isopure low-carb powders. They come in a ton of different flavors, but I'm happy with the Dutch chocolate and vanilla. I can modify those a bit easier than Cookies and cream.

I can only imagine how difficult it's going to be to only consume clear liquids, and mushy foods. All I can say, is keep it up, it's a journey to a healthier you! You can totally do this! :)

I only have five day pre-op!! THANK GOD!!! I am on day four and my surgery is thursday... Let me just say this is one of the hardest things I have ever done! It sucks royally!! I am looking forward to the "mushy" week too and thats sad! lol We have to stay focused on the end result. But I am pretty sure I will NEVER touch another protein shake or broth again!

NOW that the Million PLUS people here on LBT have their hands raised...lol we should start a party!! and chant ~NO MORE LIQUID DIETS~~

I'll be the first in line.... I just had a colonscopy and that my dear is a HUGE reminder why I hate liquid diets UGH! but it's all for a greater good!! Getting and Staying Healthy!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to like protein shakes too. But that ALL changed after living on them for 14 days :P

AMEN!!!!

Both hands raised!!! 4 weeks of liquids was totally awful. If I can make it you can too. Don't give up. You will feel like you can conquer anything after! :D

Did not have to do liquid pre op, but had them for 3 weeks post op. All I really wanted was something, anything, I could just stick a fork into. I still use them now and again if I am rushed or traveling and don't want to bother with restaurants, etc.
