I have yet to fart or have a bm I haven't eaten much. I notice all the food moving and it's a little discomfort so I stop thank god I'm not hungry. Very little broth and sugar free Jello. Also drink Water. It's weird though now that I can pee alone I pee a lot and its so clear yet I'm not drinking all that much just sips.... I am happy I can pee on my own though the catheters were embarrassing and very weird.

I had surgery Thursday. Gas pains go and come. My port is on my left side under my arm. Pretty tender. I have been eating jello' date=' half sf and half regular and drinking broth. Also Gatorade helps because it's not sf so I don't get dizzy. I'm on hydrocodone. I have a reletex band on for nausea and motion sickness patch. I haven't lost any weight yet or had a bm... Is this normal? I take gasx and walk around the house. Gas pain mostly in right shoulder.[/quote']

Use a heating pad for the shoulder pain and stop taking gas X so you can't fart and burp that shoulder pain away.

I slept 4-6 hours last night and on my side for a little bit. I'm making progress! I really want a Protein Drink but I'm afraid of the outcome.

I also slept better last night and on my side. I was pretty uncomfortable when I woke tho. Pain pill had worn off and ice pack had melted.

I am still sipping Isopure. Might try a full liquid shake tomorrow.

My stomach is still pretty swollen. Anyone else's?

Can you feel your port? My tummy is to sore to be probing around looking for it.

My belly is still puffy and my incisions are not really sore at all... Still have some gas in chest and belly but had some nice burps. I still am sleeping on my back they said try not to do side yet and uneven pressure can cause pain. I spoke to dr this morning I said still just sipping on broth and Water and he said not to push Protein until I'm ready. I haven't lost any weight and still have yet to fart or pass a bm.. Walked around the pool a few times and around the house and Just exfoliated my face, showered and in fresh clothes. I feel way better than I did. I still can't believe just yesterday morning I wanted to kill myself and I feel like this now... What a huge difference one day makes. I think I'm gonna try to have more broth and Jello today. Hope everyone else is doing well and feeling better!

My stomach isn't really that swollen but my incisions are all pretty sore so I'm not going to go around feeling for it! I actually have no idea where it is, except I'm guessing it's around the incision with the slightly larger bandaid. I'm day 3 post-op now and had a Protein Shake last night and another one this morning with no problems. Much better than just clear broth!

I not even sure which incision is the port. I know it is on my right side but I haven't gone probing for it yet.

Hoping my husband can help me take a shower in a bit. I have iodine all over me and it is sticky and doesn't come off with a baby wipe.

I also slept on my stomach last night! Was slow getting there, but it wasn't any more painful than getting up from a chair. I put an ice pack under my belly right by my incisions and layed on top of it and I was very comfy! I also had a pillow partially wedged under my side to help support.

I showered by myself and was very successful!! I think my port is on the left side but haven't go e feeling around for Anything. Ill know in a few days where it is and at this point idc what incision is what. I have enough pain and discomfort I so t want to be poking around creating more pain. We seem to all being well and I'm so proud of us. This support system is fantastic and it's comforting to see what others are doing and how you are feeling. Keep up the good work ladies.2

We are on a beautiful path.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
