I have 3 children and we go on vacation every summer. I didn't know it would only be a 2 week process for me.

When do you have to go back to the doctor?

I'm on day 1 of 2 total liquid pre-op and wow I've had a headache ALL day.

I couldn't get clearance from my cardio today. I couldn't last 8 minutes on the treadmill. I told her I had just recently injured my knee and still see a doctor for that, oh well.

Luckily they got me in tomorrow to do a diff cardio test for clearance. All this and my surgery is Thursday!!

well tomorrow morning i will wake up unusually early (assuming I can fall asleep) and walk over to the hospital (it's just a few blocks from my house) to check in at 6:30am. excited/nervous for sure, but those words hardly capture what i'm feeling.

i was hoping I'd have lost 20lbs before surgery - it seemed for a while like that was in reach but the scale hasn't moved in 3 days, so it looks like I'll be 17lbs down pre-surgery (12 of that on the 2 week pre op diet). the last couple of nights i've been having terrible headaches - not sure what that's about or if it's related. i know i'm not dehydrated, that's for sure.

whatever lies ahead - if i'm not back on later in the day, i'll catch y'all on the flipside! good luck to my fellow 7/11 banders!

It's the countdown my friend! 17lbs is amazing! I lost 13lbs during the preop. The headaches are most likely from your body reacting from not getting any carbs or sugar . Side effects of not having those things is usually a headache . You r going to do great... Don't worry..it will go so fast. When I got to the hospital there was no turning back... And I looked up and I was in recovery .

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
