Good luck! After surgery I ate broth, sugar free popsicles, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese and apple sauce. I'm sure your doc or nutritionist will give you a list.

Woohoo, it's finally time! You'll need those SF popsicles because your throat will be a bit sore, but when you leave tomorrow, they should give you some SF hard candy for the trip back home. Are you having to go to Cincy to do it, or do they have a hospital they work with near you? Ricotta and pizza sauce is really good, tuna or chicken salad in the blender was pretty good. Refried Beans and chicken broth was good. That's all I can really remember for now. Good luck, you will do great and check in to report how you are doing!

Congrats and good luck. Most people start on liquids and your doctor should have given you a list of things to have. Make sure you read through all your paperwork.

Thanks! I've read through the paperwork several times, thanks for the suggestion. I'm an expert of the liquids stage, just curious what others ate during the purée stage. He gave me a list, but those aren't the only foods I'm allowed to have, I'm asking for other suggestions. Thanks.

Hey Creekwood ... So excited for you. My nut told me that any meal in a good blender will taste delicious. She suggested adding liquid to anything I might be blending. If you want chicken...just add some chicken broth and hit blend until Teresa no lumps. you're probably sick of chicken. Anything your family is eating can go into the blender. Its all about getting nutrients and healing. Good luck to you...I'm so excites for you. Can't wait for your first post op note!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
