I havnt had my first fill yet either, 2 weeks till my first I'm kinda worrying myself due to the fact I hate needles! Does it hurt? Or do they numb the area first?

I wasn't really nervous about the procedure itself. My fears were that I didn't want any negative results to come from having a fill because I was doing pretty well without it. There is a small "stick" to numb the area then I didn't feel when she did the actual fill. No negative reactions so far. Just reminding myself to keep following the rules! I lost 4 lbs from not eating much the day of the fill. Still down the 4 today so hopefully I don't go back up. Puts me at 22 down since surgery (6 weeks ago) and 46 down since I began the journey the end of January. Can't wait to lose 4 more and be down 50!!

I'm scheduled for my first fill today. For some reason I'm really nervous. I wasn't nervous about the surgery so this is throwing me for a loop. I thought about canceling the appt but have chosen to ignore whatever is telling me to do that and am just going forward. I know it's for the best' date=' not sure why I'm so nervous?? Happy thoughts sent my way would be appreciated!![/quote']

It's piece of cake! It will take less than a minute. I'm going for my second one in a couple of weeks. First fill was really little 0.5 cc and already had 3cc with the surgery, but it didn't give me restriction at all, so probably this one will be a little bit more. I'm not in a rush to the green zone but I'm super stuck with my weight lost and feeling hungry so a little help would be nice :)

Stephanie, I'm not very fond of needles either but for me the numbing part was worse than the actual fill part. Neither one was particularly painful, less than a bee sting. For my first fill the PA said, "Here it comes . . . getting closer . . . closer . . . there, all done!" I asked her not to do that the next time:)

Lol I wouldn't want them saying that either! I guess it just kind of freaks me out knowing there's some kind of port under my skin that they have to poke and it's my stomach lol I'm sure I'll be ok tho...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
