Fills and Restriction?

Recommended Posts

I can understand the logical reason to feel restriction for a few days after a fill, then possibly it going away. (Stomach is irritated and possibly swollen then the swelling goes down) But what logical reason would you "not" feel restriction immediately after a fill and then 1 1/2 weeks later feel it and somewhat over tight?

I have read on this forum some veteran members stating to not worry if you don't feel the restriction after a fill that it could take up to 2 weeks to feel it.

This makes no logical reasoning.

Can someone explain it?

I can't explain it but it happened to me this week. Fill on Tuesday AM, was fine w food wed and thurs am. As if I had no restriction. Then bam it hit me like a ton of freaking bricks. The dr said sometimes it takes a while??? The human body, go figure!!' I had to have a slight un-fill yest.

I so want that feeling. Maybe next fill, maybe not. One thing I do notice is that I don't think about food ...until the evening. Thats when It kind of hits me. That's when I go to bed and read.

I am getting this too. All to often. Fine for a week or 2 after fill and then all of sudden wham. Tight tight tight. I am really uncomfortable right now and have been for a 2 weeks. Drinking liquids is hard. Ugh! Is this normal.

no rhyme or reason. i had to have a small unfill after 6 days because couldn't keep anything down. now some days i feel restriction and others i don't and can consume way too much food. mornings are impossible can't eat but a couple of bites and in the evening can eat a lot. can't decide if a need more fill or what. it's been nearly 2 weeks since my unfill. haven't lost a thing since then. ugh. what to do what to do

I had quite a journey so far. Was really tight for almost 2 years. Kept me from gaining weight but was miserable. Went back for an unfill in DEC and they took out 2CC. way too much. gained about 20 pounds. Went back recently and they put 2 back in. Couldn't eat anything at all. Went back and they took out .3 cc. I figured it would make little difference but it made all of the difference in the world. I can eat everything now but get full really quick. ex 1 small piece of pizza fills me up. this is the best I have ever felt. Lost a few pounds and hopefully what I gained will come off quick.

Good to hear. For me 5 1/2 is too loose and 6 Is too tight! I will be calling my doc on Monday for a slight unfill. Maybe .25 will be my magical number.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
