Gained 7 lbs after a long long still . Pre op 3/23/12 started at 339 lbs . banded 4/6/12 current weight 279 lbs. that's 60 lbs in 1 year !! YAY !! BUT i lost most of that in first 6 months and was on what I thought was a long plateau !! My lowest weight was 272 mid February. Today 279 !! I've been on this site long enough to know what went wrong and what I need to do to fix it !! So I just need somebody to kick my A$$ " yell" PUSH KESHA !! shake IT OFF !! GET UR BUTT UP !! MOVE !! NO EXCUSES !!

I am very proud of you for asking/seeking help before you gain a real lot back. Good for you. Maybe make a dietitian appointment and start over with stage 3 or 4. I love my monthly support groups, do you attend yours? Also, how about exercise. Just walk 5-10 minutes to start and work it up from there. You can do it. You made the commitment when you got the band to help you and now help it.

I go to the gym since December. I rode the bike for 5 minutes and now can go 25-30. Take baby steps.

Consider this your other kick in the ass!!

It's great that you are getting control before you gain everything back! The hardest part for a lot of people is admitting that they are responsible for the set back and not the band!

It's never to late! Get back on track! Start moving!!!!

Congratulations on your weight loss!

OUCH !! LoL !!thank you for the A$$ kicking !!! I have not been exercising regularly, which I will restart tonight,I've been drinking my calories a lot that also stops today, I've learned how to " eat around" the band , which I will be watching for, but its a little harder but I will work on it. I also have not been consistent on this site being inspired or pushing others. I use to live on this site !! I do not blame the band at all. I understand it is a tool and I have to work it. But I had it really easy at first and I didn't really do anything for the weight to come off.Now I know that was the low hanging fruit and the real work has to begin !! :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
