My paperwork is final and being sent to my Insurance!!

So I have been part of this Lap Band process for about a month and half now and I gotta say, I'm pretty excited to get this new journey started. I just received word this morning that all my paper work is final and that it should be submitted to my insurance as of today or tomorrow. The thought of being more healthy and losing weight is starting to settle in. I hope I don't have any issues getting approved and that I don't have to jump through any hoops to get approval.

I have been overweight for most of my young life since I was 17. I'm currently 26 years of age and I have a BMI of 44.5 and I'm a tall gentlemen at 6'2. I have been on numerous diets in the past 5-6 years and have been successful at losing weight but I would gain it right back over and over again. I can tell you right now that I love food and that's the way it is and that's my biggest problem along with my portion sizes. I'm sure a lot of you can relate to the portion sizes along with "head hunger". It's been a crazy past two years, I'm on High Blood Pressure medicine along with signs of diabetes. I'm ready for the new lifestyle change and becoming a healthier person and setting the bar high for myself.

I have never really posted in details about myself on here but I'm glad I did and it sure feels good!! It will be just a matter of time before I know if I get approved or not. I shouldn't have an issue *fingers crossed*.

Well its off to work for me. Have a good day ya'll!!

My process for the Lap Band has been over a year or so now. I wanted to have it done last year but I didn’t have enough time to use from work and I just wasn’t emotionally and mentally ready for it. In the past 7 months or so I have been reasearching like crazy and just getting all the info I could get into my big head of mine lol. I started the process in March and I have surgery at the end of May as I stated in my post before. So about 3 months it took me to get approved and ready for surgery next month. I think part of why it was so quick is because it’s the beginning of the year.

I would suggest you get as much information as you can from the seminar and it HELPS a lot and plus the awesome people on here will answer any questions you have regarding anything. I have been going to support groups the past 3 months and I’m not even banded yet but hearing the things from people who are living the banded life helps me a lot and I will soon to join them in a few months! Let me know how everything goes for you and I’m here to help if need anything!

It has been a long process for me to but from appointment to appointment, it didn’t take me long to get approved. I didn’t have to do any surprised diet or anything like that so I’m more less ready to get this over with and start my path to a better healthy life!!

HAHAHA! Me too! I've been researching this for over a year! I finally decided this is the road I need to take. I can't even tell you how many videos I've watched. And I've read everything from the pros to the cons, the good, the bad, and the ugly! But I'm finally ready.

That would be awesome. I would love to do that! There's a girl that does one on YouTube named BandedWendy. She lost a TON of weight. But I'm so technologically stupid I'd never be able to pull it off! LOLOL
