Advocare and the LapBand

Has anyone done the Advocare shakes for pre/post op liquid diets? I already bought the stuff to do the 24 day challenge with advocare but have opted for the Lapband, and I am starting my pre-op diet tomorrow. But I think minus the pills you are suppose to take I can still do the fiber shakes and the meal replacement shakes. Just wondered if anyone else tried this?

I would check with your doctor.. That stuff is pumped with supplements and I was told to be off all supplements, vitamins, and herbal pills 1 week prior to surgery... And those calories are a little high.. 210 per shake.. Mine were about 130.. But every doctor has different requirements so I would speak to him/her

hmmmm my pre-op instructions don't say anything about herbal supplements, it just says like nothing for pain like asprin, tylenol or ibuprofen.

I sold Advocare and did the 24 day challenge (it did not work for me) but it is some good stuff. I do see any reason as why you could not use the shakes. You would not need to use it all. But I would take your Dr the info and ask to make sure it is good...
