Got banded today. Expect pain in your shoulder and chest from gas. Nobody told me I would feel it in my chest so I was scared when I woke up cause I thought I was having a heart attack! Lol

THANK YOU for saying this! I got banded this morning and everything has been great except the shoulder pain and I thought something was wrong.

Yes! I was banded on Monday and the shoulder / chest pain really took me by surprise. The gas pain right under my diaphragm was so bad it was hard to talk or take deep breaths. I was definitely unprepared for that. Today (day 4) is the first day that feels substantially better. Gas x helped a bit but I think you just have to wait for the gas to work it's way out  . Good luck everyone!

But the pillow helps that when coughing and moving. And I am keeping fingers crossed that I'm one of the lucky ones because I have had minimal gas pain so far. I have my gas ex and heating pad for the little bit that I do feel.

Yay! I'm official now! :)

I was banded march 19, & had my first post-op check on april 8. So far so good. I dont get my first fill til may 6. I still have a little mild tenderness near by long incision. But havent had too many problems eating. Feel a little hungrier this week but doc says thats normal.

Hi guys!

Banded march 1st. Doing ok, so hungry though. I get my first fill on Thursday I hope it helps :). How are all the other march banders doing?

I go for my first fill tomorrow, can't wait to see what it's all about! I've lost 10 lbs in 4 weeks since Surgery, not really sure if that's good or bad but I'm happy with it! What were your weight loss totals 4 weeks post opp?
