  1. I get both of my VitaFusions at Walmart. The Womens Multi might be a little difficult to find. But they should have the regular adult gummy and the calcium in stock. I hope you can find them!
  2. Hi Everyone! I am almost 5 weeks post-op and I am cleared to move onto to soft foods. I want to be able to go out to eat this weekend for a birthday celebration for myself and my mom. I met with my nutritionst today and she said I could absolutely eat out, to stick to fish or chicken dishes. My questions to all of you is what chain restaurant have you successfully eaten out at, and what menu item did you order and enjoy? Thank you for your input!
  3. I made the best mushie stage recipe. I have made it multiple times for myself! Buffalo chicken salad 1 can chunk chicken breast, drained 1T light mayo or light Miracle Whip 1 wedge Laughing Cow Blue cheese Light Pepper to taste 1-2T Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce (to taste) Put all ingredients in blender/food processor until smooth. So yummy!
  4. Please add me too. I use it religiously everyday. My username is SSallah15. Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone! I was banded on March 7th and started mushies on March 21st. For the next 10 days the scale either stayed the same, and then even went up. However, a week ago it started going down again and is now falling rapidly. Most days its between .6 and 1.0 per day! Hang in there and it will start moving again. I am getting ready to transition to soft foods, and I have a feeling it will happen again for me.
  6. Mine was the same as yours. Starts two weeks post op and lasts for two weeks. At my next appointment I get to go to soft foods!
  7. Hely, you bring the chili home and blend/puree it. I have done this twice now and it is soooo good. Such a change from the other things that I have been eating.
  8. Wow I read all the way through these posts and my surgeon is WAY more conservative with his drinking rules. I am not supposed to drink anything until 2 hours after eating! I can drink almost up until a meal though.
  9. So I had to post this somewhere! I am still in mushies(pureed) stage. I made a fabulous buffalo chicken salad! So yummy! Recipe: 1 can of chicken breast chunks, drained 1 wedge of Laughing Cow Light Blue cheese flavor 1 T of light Miracle Whip or Light Mayo Pepper to taste 1-2 T of Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce (to taste) Throw all ingredients into food processor and blend until smooth!
  10. I found out at the doctors today that I have lost 23 lbs total since starting my journey! And I had chicken salad for lunch and I am now having refried beans for dinner. These things have never tasted so good before!
  11. Oh man I have been cracking up reading all of your responses! Thank you all for the laughs! Yeah my surgeon used staples an I have 4 incisions with a total of 15 staples. They are just irritating my skin.

  13. Stupid auto correct --- the title was suppose to say graduating to mushies! Lol
  14. Hey everyone! I am just so excited that I had to share! Tomorrow I will be two weeks post op. I go to my follow up at 10. I am getting my staples removed ( thank God!) and I will be graduating to my mushies! I can't wait!
  15. I could use the 22's if they aren't spoken for yet. I don't have much in that size and will need them soon. This is so nice of you!
  16. Hey everyone! This is my first post in the "Post-Op" section! I am coming up on two weeks post-op. I am going to my Dr.on Thursday, when I should get the go-ahead to graduate to mushies. I just wanted to ask people to take a minute to let me know what your favorite foods were during this stage, or things that worked well for you. I am excited about the prospect of having different foods! Thank you all for your input.
  17. I was banded yesterday and for a few minute while in pre open holding. I was panicking and had a touch of cold feet. But I went ahead with it. Despite all of the pain from gas that I experiencing, I am so glad that I didn't freak out. I know I going to succeed! You will do great too!
  18. Just an update! Surgery went well. Had a hospital hernia repaired during surgery. I woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck. No incision pain. But the gas pain I have is pretty bad in my shoulder and neck. Have been up already walking. But I am very tired. I just got ice chips and that was the best thing ever! Will be here overnight and go home in the morning. I am officially a bandster!
  19. Today is the day! In the waiting room at the hospital. Surgery scheduled for 9!
  20. Today is the day! Heading to the hospital now to be banded!
  21. I am here! See you tomorrow when I am really Post-Op! Readyforthin - Good luck!
  22. Hello everyone! Congrats to all of you that have had your band installed in the last week! I hope you all are recovering nicely and getting some rest. I have made it! Today is day 10 of my liquid diet and I am being banded tomorrow morning! I report to the hospital at 9:30 am and surgery is scheduled for 11:30 am. Of course we are due for a snow storm tonight through Friday, so I hope that doesn't mess it up at all! Good luck to all of my March 7th friends! See you after it's all over with!
  23. I am also on the 7th! I think I have seen about 5 or 6 people on here with surgery on the 7th. The final countdown is on for us!
