  1. Is anyone out there already scheduled for a surgery in March? Mine is scheduled for March 5th.
  2. Hi Everyone! I am almost 5 weeks post-op and I am cleared to move onto to soft foods. I want to be able to go out to eat this weekend for a birthday celebration for myself and my mom. I met with my nutritionst today and she said I could absolutely eat out, to stick to fish or chicken dishes. My questions to all of you is what chain restaurant have you successfully eaten out at, and what menu item did you order and enjoy? Thank you for your input!

    Vitamins!!!

I get both of my VitaFusions at Walmart. The Womens Multi might be a little difficult to find. But they should have the regular adult gummy and the calcium in stock. I hope you can find them!

  6. Hello everyone! I was banded on March 7th and started mushies on March 21st. For the next 10 days the scale either stayed the same, and then even went up. However, a week ago it started going down again and is now falling rapidly. Most days its between .6 and 1.0 per day! Hang in there and it will start moving again. I am getting ready to transition to soft foods, and I have a feeling it will happen again for me.
  7. Voted for you too! I hope you win! Good luck!

    Puree Stage....Suggestions????

Hely, you bring the chili home and blend/puree it. I have done this twice now and it is soooo good. Such a change from the other things that I have been eating.

    drinking

Wow I read all the way through these posts and my surgeon is WAY more conservative with his drinking rules. I am not supposed to drink anything until 2 hours after eating! I can drink almost up until a meal though.

  12. Hey everyone! I am just so excited that I had to share! Tomorrow I will be two weeks post op. I go to my follow up at 10. I am getting my staples removed ( thank God!) and I will be graduating to my mushies! I can't wait!
  13. I found out at the doctors today that I have lost 23 lbs total since starting my journey! And I had chicken salad for lunch and I am now having refried beans for dinner. These things have never tasted so good before!
  14. Oh man I have been cracking up reading all of your responses! Thank you all for the laughs! Yeah my surgeon used staples an I have 4 incisions with a total of 15 staples. They are just irritating my skin.

  16. Stupid auto correct --- the title was suppose to say graduating to mushies! Lol
  17. I could use the 22's if they aren't spoken for yet. I don't have much in that size and will need them soon. This is so nice of you!
  18. Hey everyone! This is my first post in the "Post-Op" section! I am coming up on two weeks post-op. I am going to my Dr.on Thursday, when I should get the go-ahead to graduate to mushies. I just wanted to ask people to take a minute to let me know what your favorite foods were during this stage, or things that worked well for you. I am excited about the prospect of having different foods! Thank you all for your input.
  19. I am 11 days post op.Time is flying! Follow up appointment Thursday morning.

  20. I was banded yesterday and for a few minute while in pre open holding. I was panicking and had a touch of cold feet. But I went ahead with it. Despite all of the pain from gas that I experiencing, I am so glad that I didn't freak out. I know I going to succeed! You will do great too!
  21. Just an update! Surgery went well. Had a hospital hernia repaired during surgery. I woke up feeling like I was hit by a truck. No incision pain. But the gas pain I have is pretty bad in my shoulder and neck. Have been up already walking. But I am very tired. I just got ice chips and that was the best thing ever! Will be here overnight and go home in the morning. I am officially a bandster!
  22. Today is the day! In the waiting room at the hospital. Surgery scheduled for 9!
