  7. Alright so I don't speak highly of myself often, but I'm proud of myself and I wanna share it with you guys. I have went from 347 in January to 312 pounds this morning. I went from NEVER exercising to working out 4 to 5 times a week 45 minutes to an hour usually in the morning but sometimes in the afternoon too. In 5 weeks my average calorie intake has been about 1200 when it used to be well over 3000. Instead of eating fast food 7 or 8 times a week, I do it maybe once a week and when I do I don't go for the double quarter pounder, I go for a grilled chicken sandwich and yogurt at chick fila. I've been working so hard and all my clothes (that used to be a 5x t shirt and a 30-32 pants size) all fit nice and baggy and I'm actually going to buy a belt this week for the first time since high school. It feels so good to say these things. I go for my second fill on Monday, and I was thinking how nice it would be for us march bandsters to share some of the positives in our lives! We're doing it guys! One pound at a time......

  12. Okay, probably a good question for dr but thought I would run it by you guys. Since surgery I am NEVER thirsty anymore. EVER!! Not after an hour after eating, not after working out. NEVER. Gotta force myself to drink. Anyone else have this issue????
  13. Wow! That's one of those things thin people take for granted! I'm happy for you! I'm waiting for the day I can see my collar bone
  14. Got food stuck for the first time today. I was banded 3/6 and I had my first fill almost 2 weeks ago. I felt no restriction, I mean NONE! But, I have been eating cautious bites just in case. Today I was distracted and took a big bite of salad with cucumber and BAM. Crazy, painful chest/upper stomach pain. Hurt bad and felt like I was gonna puke. Ran and got some water, and took a couple of sips. The water hurt too and I felt water backing up in my esophagus. And then, like a tiny miracle, it went through just like that. Instant better. At least I think that was stuck food......
  15. Wish me luck guys, going for my first fill today
  16. I am 5 weeks post op and down 28 pounds. Although, only half were from the lapband, the rest have been me practicing self control and exercising like a mad woman! Lol. I go for my first fill today. Kinda nervous.....should I be???? Anybody out there that can put some worries to rest????
  17. @catfish 87: thank you. Thank you. Thank you for encouraging words. I read them over and over. I know I will feel better once I get out of bandster hell (now that I know what this terrible limbo that I'm in is called) and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your support
  18. @catfish 87: so, do you think I should just act like I'm on a diet (that I'm starving on) and not be worried that for 3 weeks straight I lost weight (24 pounds to be exact) and this week I gained almost 2 pounds back? Should I just keep pushing through working out and trying to keep my calories low? My dr said until my first fill at week 6 I should try to keep my calories to around 1000, but I'm getting closer to 1200-1500. Should I try to eat less even though I'm already hungry? Thank you so much for your insight
  19. @ super sweet: thanks for the encouragement. Im starving and frustrated
  20. Okay, is probably a stupid thing to say but I feel like my lapband just like fell off or something. Hungry ALL the time, I can eat big portions again (well no where near as big as before but still good sized) and I'm still 2 weeks away from my first full. I'm working out like crazy and counting calories like a crazy person and gaining weight back I lost initially. Did my band slip or something??!!
  21. I have 5 also. One high up near my sternum, one large one a little above my belly button, one to the right and 2 to the left....
  22. @ Marci, not sure how to fill out my profile on here but my surgeon won't do fills till 6 weeks post op
  23. I slept in a recliner. I had horrible gas pain for days, to the point I just wanted them to remove my left shoulder! Lol. It will fade. By day 4 I felt much much better. Try bending over and picking things off the floor and moving your arms around like making your bed. You'll start farting like crazy!!
  24. Is it safe or should I try diet pills like dexatrim???
