    Goodbye 300's

    Amazing Job!!!
  6. I was banded 3/4/13 I have only had one fill at a total of 6 cc's so far. Feel minimal restriction, I can feel the difference from before the fill, but am sure I could use more!! How many cc's are you? How much restriction are you feeling? Thanks Everyone!!
  7. Great info so far! Thank you so much, I just wanna get a good feel for what the average is! For those who havent hit that green zone yet, keep trying! I have an appointment for another fill on Wednesday, hope i can at least get 1 cc for a total of 7. At my last appointment they made it sound like any further fills would be pretty small, but im gonna have a talk with em!!

    Surgery Scheduled for March

Hey March Peps! Hope everyone is doing well! My scale isnt moving much, kind just yo yoing.. I had my first fill last Wednesday and am going in for another asap! I have 14 cc band, they put in 3 ccs on top of the 3 that were in there, i feel a little difference, but not what i know i would if it was the "green zone" Im working at being better at this everyday! Get my but to the gym and make the right food choices, story of my life!! How are you all feeling about your first fills??
  10. Got my first fill, been a few days and still feel like i can eat to much. On to the next!!

  11. My fill went perfectly!! Found out i have a large band, can hold 14 cc. When i had surgery they put it in with 3cc, so on Wednesday they added 3 more. I ate 2 hours before, knowing liquid only for the next 24 hours. Today i feel good, i am most definatly eating less and not feeling hungary ALL the time Finally feel like me and my band are working together on the same page! It is nice to know that i can go in for another in as little as 2 weeks if i feel i need more restriction. The first 6 weeks after surgery before the first fill is alot more trying then i ever thought it would be. The last 2 weeks i was able to eat just as much as before surgery and it was so disappointing!! Thankful to be moving forward
  12. Going for my first fill tomorrow I cant remember how long before my fill I should stop eating? I pretty sure i should go with an empty stomach? Thank you!
  13. First fill tomorrow! Cant wait for the next steps!

  14. I am almost 4 weeks post op, I have lost 11, but the last 2 weeks have pretty much been a stand still since i starting back on regular food, but my nutritionist said it would happen and that i shouldn't count on loosing much at all and its even normal to gain some back.

    Almost 4 weeks post op

Im with u in this Banster Hell!! I wont get my first fill till April 17. It is crazy how hungry I have been lately. Kind of discouraging, but with these posts about Bandster Hell, I am at least able to understand what is going on right now! And that is super helpful! Hopeing and praying my first fill will be helpful, but based on what ive been reading throughout the forums, it very well could take several fills to get into the green zone. Best of Luck to u Della, and know u are not alone!

    Protein Shakes!

I simply just like the taste better, it has less carbs then regular milk, if u get the unsweetened. And only 30 to 40 cals for a whole cup. The one i get has a vanilla flavor already added. I just like it! Some people might use instead of milk if the have an allergy to milk to though.
  17. 3 weeks post op, feel like a regular person again, no more pain and eating regular food :)

My whole first week after being banded, i could not tell if i had gas or was hungery, I had no idea lol, so i just stuck to my schedule and the amount i was told and did fine! Surgery Scheduled for March

Went for my 2 week check up on Friday! Everything going fabo! No more gas at all (thank god!) It wasnt really that bad for the most part but on either day four or five i had the craziest, could not find any comfortable position day. If I hadnt known better I wouldve thought there was a knife stuck in my shoulder.. My stomach swelling must be pretty much gone, cuz i have been so hungry since last Monday. Im not supposed to start mushies till Monday, but i did have a scrambled egg yesterday with gravy as mashed as possible and it went just fine. I miss meat so bad and cant get my self to eat the meat baby food lol, yuck! Monday though i cant tell u guys how excited i am to make a pot roast and blend a little piece for myself (never thought i would say that) lol. My nutritionist did stress to me that the first 6 weeks after surgery, we should not expect to much weight loss, she said it is perfectly normal to possibly gain weight on the mushie stage because the body is basically trying to figure out what is going on. I just wanted to put that out there for any one who is not expirenceing any weight loss or just a little. So for those of us that are loosing i guess we get to consider ourselves lucky and hope our bodies continue to do what we would like them too! She also told me that I should not be dieting once i hit solid food, for example, low carb. She said to work on what she called the 80/20 rule. What she means by that is making the right choices at least 80% of the time. And most importantly keep the portions at what they have asked and the water flowing! Hope everyone is recovering well!
  21. Day 8 post op! Feeling brand new and starving! cant wait till puree stage. No more pain! Feeling great :)

  22. Oh my gosh!! I get to have pureed starting on Monday!!!! I am so starving the last few days!! Im making pot roast for the fam, and i swore i wouldnt do it, but i will puree some pot roast with the juice and maybe a little gravy and i will love it, lol.. I am missing my meats ssssoooo bad!! Oh and cauliflower with a pinch of cheese and a small bit of sour cream! Awee... counting the days!

    Surgery March 29th

For the ticker, go up to the top right hand side, click on your screen name "Tangie", it will bring down a little menu, 5th down on the left it says my tickers, click that. Then on that page, midway there is a button that says "create ticker". From there u just pick what u want. In order for your numbers to register on it u have to have put that info in your profile, its takes the lbs etc from there.

Anyone have any experience with FMLA?

For mine, i had to fill out the papers, faxed them over to the drs office they completed there part then faxed them back to the HR, I was approved medical leave, and short term disability. I am taking 2 weeks off, first one paid PTO and the second paid @ 66% of my usual pay per short term disability (STD). When i get ready to go back i have to get my dr to fill out a paper to return to work. Do u have a specific question? It is confusing, it was my first time too, and my supervisor didnt know how to do anything! Luckily the HR was able to help. The HR has to deal with it alot, with pregnancy usually, the questions on the form kinda seem like they may not pertain to us, but to have this surgery it is a medically necessary leave of absence that they should grant. My job did. I answered the questions as best i could, didnt feel like i did them right, but i was as truthful as possible. Let me know if theres anything else i can try and help with!
