Soooo frustrated!!

Recommended Posts

So I recently had posted that I had lost weight after being stuck for quite awhile. I was extremely excited but since then I gained 2 pounds. Why does it feel like I'm so close to my goal of 125 but it doesnt seem like I can get there?? I know reaching 140 is a HUGE accomplishment but I want to reach my goal by my 2 year mark April 11. HELP!!!!!!

The weight that you want to be (and even the weight the charts say you should be) and the weight that your body can maintain comfortably can be two completely different numbers.

You need to recoginze the number your body is healthy at and happy with and get over the mental "numbers". Then you will be at the right weight.

Looking at the numbers on the scale is never going to stop frustrating you. You have to go by how you feel, how your clothes fit, can you look in the mirror dressed and say yes that looks good. So many people want to see the number but what about your measurments. This month when I went to my doctor I lost no weight but three inches. I was so happy. You cant rely on a number to make you happy or you will drive yourself crazy.

I am fairly new to this site. Not sure if I am in the right forum or not. I would like to know if anyone has experienced these problems. I was banded mar 12. Have not stayed on track and have not list much weight. A few months ago I suffered nausea, throwing up (nothing coming up) , belching, some chills, Back ache between shoulder blades. First I thought I had a bug. I got nauseated a couple times a wk. the dr had me drink barium and said it was not the band, sounded like gall bladder. Went to my pcp, had gall stones and had my gall bladder removed. The surgeon said I can't promise this will take care of the nausea. I had surgery feb 1st (gall bladder). And still have all of the same symptoms. I go for my follow up tomorrow. Anyone else experience this? Sorry this is long.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
