My Bandaversary 133 lbs gone!

Recommended Posts

It has been a wonderful year. At this time last year I was in surgery, ready to change my life for the better. For the better I most definately have. I have lost a total of 133 lbs in a year and feel great! I went from wearing a size 32 to a comfortable 14 or 16 and I am still losing!

I can run, play, breathe, wear nice clothes, I have confidance the soars (maybe too much at times) I can turn heads..

Because I feel so good about myself I have decided to not undergo plastic surgery I dont have that much excess skin, you cant see it when I am dressed. I have no aspirations to wear a 2 peice bathing suit or be a model. lol! my husband loves me and my saggy skin and all, so I bought myself a sports car yesterday a congratulations on the new you gift to myself.

I need ideas for a Vanity Plate... NJ takes up to 7 letters or Numbers... I was thinking wither "HOTMAMA" or "LAPBAND" Give me your ideas....

I will attach a pic of my new "Stang" Yellow Convertable with White Leather Interior and a White Top... Looks Hot :D

HAPPY BANDIVERSARY, ALEXANDRA!!!! Congratulations on a truly remarkable year and may you continue to succeed and inspire others.

Holy convertible, Batman!! That is some gorgeous vehicle. What happened to the K. Ghia?

Can't wait to see you tooling around Morris County in that hot horsie, girlie. But where are you going to put the car seats? :D :D

Congratulation Alexra on your 1 year band aniversary!!:biggrin1:

You have done a wonderful job and that convertible looks great! Keep up the good work and if you want to sport a 2 piece bathing suite, than you go right ahead.

I think "HOTMAMA" or your name "ALEXRA" would look good on that ride.

Anyway, you look good!!! You deserve a hand:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

You and I started at the same dress size. You are doing an amazing job and all of that weight in only 1 year- WOW!!

I have some ? for you:

What do you think has been the most important thing you have done to lose the weight that you have?

How much exersize do you get in the typical week?

What is an example of your daily menu?

You are a true inspiration to me.. and you look fantastic!

I hope you don't mind sharing your success secrets

Congratulations on your new car.

Oh ya . . .

AND ON YOUR AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, INSPIRING, LIFE CHANGING WEIGHT LOSS!

I'm so envious!

How about GROUPIE for your vanity plate? OK, I know you really wouldn't want that on your car but it certainly let's people know you're "with the band". LOL - I got the idea from Mikey's avator.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
