I will be banded on Mar 4 and I actually ordered the started kit from Unjury protien online. My plan is to add this to fruit smoothies, ice coffee, Soups, etc. to make them "liquid meals". I hadn't thought about sugar free Syrup in protien shakes....a good idea too, I'll have to look into that!

People call it a butterfinger shake, which I'm sure if I'd say it tastes like that, but it's still good, you add 1 T of sugar free butterscotch pudding mix to a chocolate Protein Shake.< /p>

Today I'm feeling much better! Yesterday (day 2) wasn't fun. Today I haven't taken a pain pill and I'm able to move much easier. Gas pains are also subsiding too. There's light at the end of the tunnel I promise!

I've only added bananas or Peanut Butter to my Protein shake. The banana was good, the pb, meh....

Thanks for the suggestion! Hopefully down the road I'll be able to add that banana!

Yum, that sounds wonderful! I'll have to see if I can find a butterscotch flavoring to add instead of pudding maybe! Thanks again!

Look in the coffee isle, there are all kinds of sugar free flavoring syrups, sorry I can't remember the name right now. I found them at Wal-Mart, but I believe I saw them at Kroger too.

There are extracts that you can add to your protein's.

A place called BJ's bariatrics online also sells a 12.95, 11 pack ( that you choose) samples of Protein by matrix. They have several different flavors too that you can try before you buy the large Protein pack.

Also, PB2 to just about any protein shake is amazing. Use unjury chocolate and add PB2 and its like a Peanut Butter cup.

So many things to try.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
