Sorry boys, but this is girl talk....

Stats:

Age- 32

Banded- 6/22/12

Starting Weight- 244 @ surgery

Lowest seen- 193 (Last Friday 2/1/12)

Ok, I have been on birth control for a little over 2 years, which is after my 3rd miscarriage. I haven't had a period since surgery, just spotting when I am suppose to and that is been very little. My doctor told me since I have been on this type of pill so long it's normal not to have a period.

However, when I get to the white pill part of my pack when I am suppose to have my cycle my weight seems to jump up, like I am retaining Water.

Last Friday and Saturday I was in the 193's. By Monday I had jumped up to 198, today I am sitting at 194. I will start my new pack of pills on Sunday.

I just don't get this, the massive fluctuation. I feel like at this time of the month I take 3 steps forward only to take 4 steps back.

Any advice?

Yes, I have spoken with my doctor and his comment is "lovely female horomones, don't worry about it" Easy for him to say it's not his weight doing the big swings.

As long as it went back down, I wouldn't worry about it either. Even when I was pregnant, on mirena not getting my period, breastfeeding not getting my period.. I still had temporary weight gain, moodiness, and even cramps one a month. It was weird but not much I could do about it. Maybe try drinking Water and working out during that week... the more you drink the less you retain.

After my son was born I went on the pill and didn't have a period for 3 years. I still bloated, got emotional, and everything else that goes along with a period. I just told myself "it could be worse"! Good luck!

I went through Menopause (or am going through it) haven't had my period in 2 years. I still get bloated and gain a couple pounds every month or two. It used to drive me nuts.... eh, now I just ignore it. You still get some of the symptoms weather you actually get your period or not. Try not to let it bug you cuz there is nothing you can do about it.

Good Luck!

While I dont have a period any longer, my weight fluctuates as much as 8lbs in a day. Its Water weight and really unless we take water pills which is not a good thing to start unless you have blood pressure problems, then the only way to get rid of the water is to drink water. It may sound crazy but weight fluctuation happens to everyone. Even when you are not dieting, have wls. It is just part of life and not just a hormone issue. I would say dont weigh yourself during that part of your pack of pills. Wait until the second week of the new pack to weigh. It will only frustrate you and keep you miserable all the same. Just some of my suggestions.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
