Happy Easter, how did you do with food and candy???

Recommended Posts

I had 2 slices of ham (cut off the honey baked crust and that practically killed me). I had a spoonfull of greenbeans and one deviled egg. I brought my candy into work today so I an watch everyone else eat it and let it stick to their butts! I am quite proud of myself.

I had to do TWO Passover dinners and one Easter, all in one week! I only have 1cc in a 4cc 10cm band and have very little restriction. So I'd say I didn't do very well. I didn't gain any weight, but also have not lost any weight in about five weeks. I think I need more fill, and fast!

I did just fine. I had 1 small slice of ham, about 1/4 cup of the most yummy potatoes ever, and a nice green salad with fresh oranges. Desert was a small peice of devine lemon mirange pie. I had one chocolate egg, about the size of a jelly bean. I was hoping it was one of the malted milk kind, but no luck.

But then again, the band isn't a diet, it is a lifestyle.

I did okay. I dont have much of a sweet tooth so I actually didnt have any candy or desert all day. Had a Protein Drink for Breakfast. Our Easter meal was a deep South Texas version... so I had 2 slices of BBQ brisket, some pinto Beans with a spoonful of Mexican rice, and some guacamole with 3 tortilla chips. Sunday evening my DH took me to South Padre Island for dinner and I had 3 HUGE oysters on the half shell with 3 crackers. (and 2 margaritas)!! I did pretty good when I think about all the things I DIDNT put on my plate, lol!!

I did ok with the food, but I over indulged on Easter eggs. I really didnt eat anything else but chocolate ALL DAY. Back on track today though and it will be ok, there will be times like this...like vines said, not a diet, a lifestyle change.

I just started Nutrisystem on Friday and I did perfectly all weekend. If I had had my band, I would have endulged a bit. But without my band, I can not even eat 1 bite - I would go into "binge" mode.

So, I'm pretty pleased with myself.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
