Yike! Rash on my belly!

Help! I'm 8 days post op and I ever since my surgery I've had a very light rash all over my mid section. I thought it was just a mild reaction to the anti bacterial wash they used on me for surgery and it would go away. WRONG. I woke at 3:35am with an intense itching all over my belly and now the little bumps have turned into red welts from itching them. They are not on the incision sites but all around them.

I used calamine lotion and bennedryl and will try to go back to sleep....

Anyone else have this issue?

I had the same thing and they put me on a some medicine and it cleared up. I

I had some irritation from the tape used to cover the incisions, but it was localised to the tape areas only.

Best speak to a doc if its troubling you. If it spreads, you feel unwell or have trouble breathing go to the doctors ASAP.

I had that too. Itchy tiny red spots all over my stomach. The doc said it is an allergic reaction to meds or to the stuff they use on your stomach during surgery. She told me to take benedryl and use cortisone cream. Feel better!
