Any February 2013 Bandsters?

Are there any others set to get banded in February? My doctor's office called to tell me my insurance approved me & set my surgery date for the first! After going back & forth for a couple years & now just completing the 6 months (well technically 7 months) weight loss consultations, it's going to happen. I'm not so sure how to feel about it. Nervous? Excited? Worried? Happy? I thought I'd see if anyone else is getting ready for it all, & see how they're dealing with it. Input from veteran bandsters would be great too! :) Tips on what to expect, need, & advice would be greatly appreciated.

I made it!!! Like NurseKelly I got banded yesterday. Felt pretty crummy the whole day, today is much better - not good but better. The worst thing is it is very uncomfortable to sleep & I am soooo thirsty. Luckily my wife is taking care of me. Too good, she wont let me do anything.

yay! Glad to hear the surgery went well.. Let your wife take care of you and you rest & relax!!

I am doing the 4 oz 3 times a day I don't have to do liquids till Monday... This change isn't so bad... Thought I'd be hungrier but no it's actually been good.... How r you tolerating only liquid??? I feel better since changing diet I guess it's the excitement :) you will drop before surgery ur body is probably rebelling :)

Have you lost any weigh since surgery? I had surgery on the 8th of February. Eating tje same before surgery. Dr say no fills until I heal.

I'm banded!!! Everything went well but i did have a hiatal hernia so that was fixed. I'm feeling pretty good so far. I'm excited to be an official "bandster".

I am officially banded as of 4pm today as well. I felt a lot of pain right after but am now finding it a bit easier. Lets see how first night of sleep goes, and if I can deal with the gas pains a bit better tomorrow. I'm sure some might be hunger pains as well, but I'm just staying positive for long term success. Happy to be sharing this with all of you!

Hey all! I was banded February 20th! I had gas pains in my left shoulder and with the help of Gas-X strips, a heating pad and walking, the pains have been very manageable. Other than that, I have had minimal incision pain (but some itching) and zero problem getting down liquids and yogurt, etc. How is everyone else's first weeks going? Anyone back at the gym yet?

I hope to be under 300 lbs by the beginning of April!

I had surgery feb 8th and I got to the gym last week! Tomorrow I start a work out class and I am nervous! Today was the first day I got all my water in! But has any body else had bowel movement problems?

YES!! I am trying to come up with creative ways to get more fiber but I think I've only gone twice since my surgery!

My problem's been just the opposite. Coupled with te gas problem, it's not been a picnic!
