Memoirs of a Streatched Pouch...

Well here we are...my owner and I sitting here about to tell you stories of the not so famous...and for sure not rich. :-) Do any of you bands out there who have owners who refuse to listen to you...smart band that you are? I have one of those too. So now we have a slightly stetched pouch.

We are going to have to be on liquids for 7 days, mushies for 7 more and a prescription for Reglan to try and get it back down to size. :-( The doctor said it was strange that we were continuing to lose weight and have a stretched pouch, but it was a matter of time before we manage to work ourselves right into a slip.

We sat down to work through why this had happened. Turns out my owner ms i can-handle-not-following-the-rules thought that she could get away with going back to eating in front of the tv instead of at the table. Snacking way too much on popcorn and icecream. As well as other banded nonos.

So fellow bands and the owners who love them, take a leaf from the pages of our book...follow the bandster rules or you might too end up where we are today. :-( Signed VG Lapband ;-)

Well, this is my first posting. I was banded Thursday 4/6/06 after a year of researching. I am now a BMI of 29 (was 31 last week). I am very glad of the questions and answers on this site as I am sure I will have many and at least now I know where to go to find the answer. First question, as I am in 1 week post op, can I have sugar free fudgesicle or will this cause enlargement as well. Is this really a liquid if eaten prpewrly? I have hung tight to broth and jello and apple juice, but was getting sick of that and needed a little something. Also, should I still have shoulder pain? I am taking tylenol but about every 6 hours it comes back. Nothing too bad just alarming. I am also walking treadmill at lowest .09 (lol) speed about 4 times a day for 5-10 minutes. I appreciate any and all answers, this was a scary but positive step for me. Godd luck and God Bless all of you....

Yes, the fudgesicle will go right through you shouldn't have any problems that. It is when you get to regular solid food that you have to pay attention. Welcome to bandland kmarie.

hope all goes well for you keep us posted and good luck, and person listen to your band it knows what it is saying.................
