Goals For The Remainder Of 2012

Recommended Posts

Goals to reach by December 31st, 2012:

1. Be in Onederland

2. Be on week 6 of Couch to 5k program

3. Be able to rock a little black dress for New Year’s Eve (without wondering if I am making a fool of myself)

I figured if I put them out here into LapBandTalk world, I would hold myself more accountable! What are everyone else's goals to hopefully attain by the end of the year?

Lose the last stubborn bit of weight that I am holding onto.

Get rid of my ghosts of the past by not assuming people will judge me a certain way.

Be consistent with my Water intake.

Do one thing that I have never done and always wanted to.

  1. Lose 1 more lb by 12/9... so I can hit my original goal of 160 by my 2 year band anniversary.

  2. Lose 6 lbs by 12/18 the day I am having my Tummy Tuck and breast lift... and then lose 5 lbs of skin during surgery so I can be at my stretch goal of 150 by New years. :)

I've actually surpassed all my goals for 2012. I wanted to lose 100 pounds by my one year band anniversary coming in January, I've lost 168.

I was way over 400 pounds last Christmas. This Christmas, I'll be thrilled if I can be under 250, so that's my last goal of the year. Lose 4 more pounds by Christmas.

I'm doing a virtual on dec 15. Then Jan 5 for ALS. When is yours?

I don't really have a specific date, it's just that I started running and completed a 5k and I feel that pretty soon I'm gonna be ready to run a 10k. But you gave me a good idea, I'm gonna look for a specific 10k and prepare for it.

Good luck on yours !!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
