  11. Thanks for posting! I am in the UK too! Congrats on your amazing weight loss. What is your secret? Any tips
  12. Hi, I was banded in November 2012 too. I am sorry you feel like the band has not worked as well as you would have liked. Did they say it was placed in the wrong spot will they fix it for you? I am happy it has taken me 11 months to get to the green zone but I feel like my serving size and hunger levels are about right now - until then I just had to diet. I have 8.5ml in my 10ml band I have taken the last few fills very slowly 0.2 and 0.1 fills to inch close to the green. I have lost 65 pounds since the band and 30pounds pre-band . My weight loss has been slow some months I lost nothing but I averaged out at 5 pounds per month and I am happy with that. I workout 5 days a week and am wearing a US size 8. I still have 24 pounds to my goal weight but I am happy to finish that off slowly in with healthy eating and working out. I completely cut out sweet stuff this year and only have eaten cake on my birthday! Its taking my mind awhile to catch up with the weight loss I still feel huge and all I can see if my big belly and thighs but I know that going from 275 to 180 is a big change....its going to take me some time to catch up...

  23. If you are sick from the neck up - stuffy nose go for it. It will help clear you out and if its below the neck on your chest take it easy. I agree if I feel something coming on a run for me kicks it right out of my system!

  25. Great isn't it! I am always like wooooo hoo!!!! I only ate a quarter then come the questions was everything ok with your food - can I have the chef come out and talk to you no..... nooooo......noooo ..... nooooo. I am just a lapband genius thank you
  26. Hi Heather, I worked out pre-band a lot. So when I was cleared for workouts I went back to what I was doing. Did you workout before....? To be honest my stomach really jumped around right after surgry at 245 but no more than normal. It still does it today in the 180's! I was worried too as I do a lot of yoga including full back bends and I was worried I was going to pop the port off and he laughed at me and said dont you worry it's not going to move...... I would check again if your worried but don't use your band as a workout excuse! I have plenty of them already . Trust your new body it's going to be awesome! Good luck with your journey!
  27. Agreed how can you be the best wife or mother if your unhealthy, unhappy and unfit? Surely if you can be the best YOU you can be the best wife and mother you can be.....
  28. After 5 fills I still get hunger pains!!! I know some people never get them but I do
  29. I hate to say it but you gotta be selfish. Trust me when your healthier, hotter and happier he will understand my hubby pushes me outta the door now. Better that than the tori that sat on the sofa eating pizza and ice cream feeling depressed and having a breakdown when I couldn't find anything to wear........
  30. Hi, It's totally normal! I am afraid you will feel this way for awhile. It's time to put on your big pants and diet. Some people are lucky enough to be in the green zone on the first fill but others (like me) needed many more. I was banded in November and am still not in the green zone. However I diet eat right and exercise most days it's hard work but I would be more pissed now if I didn't take my health into my hands and have dropped weight at this point. I still get hungry and can eat bad foods but I don't. It's hard work and the band is a tool that can help you when it kicks in it just takes time. Good luck!
  31. We have similar stats I started 275 and now I am 186.....it's weird isn't it??? Some days I am sooooo happy and am happy with my band life salads fish etc and 6 days a week at the gym.....but sometimes it all feels like a lot of work like Groundhog Day over and over! This wont be forever - I am 25 pounds from goal and wearing size 10/12 already so I am hoping not too far to go. I keep my short term goals in mind and keep moving forward. I think once your back on normal food you will feel better....it's hard to live on liquids. I bet once you go onto normal you will feel better. I try and eat low cab but have what I want just a smaller serve than normal. Maybe you need some foodspiration cook something yummy and healthy? I have stuffed peppers and baked eggplant cooking right now I will not eat tons but its yummy food that is healthy too. ..... Good luck
