Good morning everyone. I started a new group and I'm hoping some of you will join. I started California Bandsters. I've noticed there are lots of people from the East Coast on here, but I haven't seen many from the West, specifically California. I'm hoping to find some "locals".

I'm here in CA! San Diego County to be exact! I am just beginning my journey, I have picked out my surgeon and went to my seminar last night, will be going for my consultation here very soon and will be banded shortly after providing that everything goes swimmingly with my insurance!

Good luck to you! I'm also just starting out. Just started my six month supervised diet and my surgeon is hoping I will be able to have the surgery by July...fingers crossed.

That is so awesome! Yes, he is so sweet and funny! I did a lot of research looking for a good bariatric doctor and after meeting him it's no wonder he is so well liked! After meeting him it only solidified for me that he is the surgeon I want to do my lap band. Waiting on my new insurance card to get here so I can give them a copy and get things going!

That is so cool :-) He put 5cc in my band at the time of surgery and I have yet to have a fill. I totally felt like I was in the green zone as soon as I started eating soft foods. Karen the nutritionist is pretty great too. I too did a lot of research and felt he was the best in the area. Good luck to you and keep in touch
