As far as telling people...my immediate family knows' date=' because I need them for support. Everyone else I'm telling I had a hernia repaired, which is technically true and accounts for the belly tenderness.[/quote']

That's what I've been saying too.

The entire time I was on my semi liquid diet I was never starving or really hungry today I have been hungry and I mean real hunger almost all day!!! Not sure why? And guidance would be helpful. 3rd day post op.

maybe it's because your swelling has gone down! That's a good sign.

That's around the time I began to get hungry too. I think because your body had to adjust from surgery and your stomach has to adjust to the band, your appetite was confused. I am four days post op and my appetite is slowly starting to come around.

I started to get hungry at 4 days post op, my doc said that when the swelling around the band starts to go down, hunger will return...so I think it's normal.....I wish you well! :)

Today I was starving too. Post op day 4. I actually had some cottage cheese and later, Peanut Butter to take the edge off. Seemed to go down easily...

Since this is my second time around, I know a few things. Tastes will definitely change- a weird side effect of the band. Today I tried some lox (smoked salmon) which I usually love, and basically had to force myself to swallow it. So salty!! And tonight I had some Peanut Butter for Protein and didn't enjoy it the way I used to. I don't know why our tastes change, but they do...

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
