Well tomorrow is my banding day!...I am so excited to be at the end of this pre-op diet stuff. I managed to lose 13 pounds in a week and we are just finishing up packing for the drive to Kansas City. I am looking forward to a new begining but I am not looking forward to leaving my kids...See you all on the other side!

Well, tomorrow is the big day for me. I am doing a liquid diet today (full liquids ok), and am thankful I was able to have a good Christmas dinner yesterday as my "Last Supper" for a while. It was truly a meal to remember, not so much for what I ate but more for the company. I am not going to lie, though, I am really aware of how hungry I am today. I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast and a glass of apple juice for lunch. Did the Milk of Magnesia last night, and it hasn't been too bad today, maybe because I haven't been eating solid foods.

I'm looking forward for my new life to start tomorrow! Wish me luck...

I was banded 12/6 and went to the gym for the first time today since surgery. Boy did it feel good to sweat! I'm eating a "normal" diet again. I have found that I cannot eat bread, which many bandsters have said before, but with no fill I had to try. Let me tell you, if you have something stuck, you will know it. There is no guessing on this one. Good thing is it comes back up pretty easily. Gross I know, but now I know what pb'ing is all about. I go for my first fill January 14. I have gained 2 lbs since surgery, but now that I'm working out again and able to eat more Protein I expect it to start coming off soon. Good luck everyone and looking forward to s thinner 2013!

Hi all my bandster buddies! I was banded on 12/21 and I'm doing ok. Been having a lot of diarhea (sorry tmi, I know). Immodium is ok to take and has really helped. Also, water/gatorade mix keeps me hydrated. I wanted to just give up because I was so miserable, but I know this is going to pass.

Congrats to those who are getting banded in the next few days.

Ask your doctors office, but I pulled mine off two days after surgery so I could shower. I was told that if incisions were closed up, no harm. I was sent home from overnight stay in hospital, with anti-bacterial liquid soap... Weren't you??

What are you thinking eating bread less than three weeks after being banded? Most people can't tolerate bread after being banded. I'm just saying, maybe you need to re-exam your "normal diet"?

Got my band today, and ended up having to stay overnight. Yuck. Pretty sore, but I'm up trying to walk. Can't wait to get home!

I was banded 12/5 and I know the feeling with the bread, I was pretty scared lol. Other than bread though I can eat anything and that scares me. Can't wait for a fill

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
