I just finished day 3 of my pre op diet and tommorrow starts day four!! I'm still looking for a Protein Shake that will get the job done and not taste bad.

any ideas??

I love the premeire Protein brand chocolate shakes - 30 grams of protein and tastes great.

My nutritionist was dead serious when she told me about that. I do believe, however, in the interests of medical advancement, that there should be clinical trials concerning this. I would be willing to take one for the team. LOL

Because someone did this in the past, my nutritionist now tells everyone that it is not ok to put pizza in the blender. Seriously, who does that?!

Isopure is the only one that I could get done. I hate milk so it was a challenge. Grape Frost is one flavor over lots of ice and it was sippable.

Almost 12 hours post-op....no incision pain just a slight sore throat and gas pain in my back, side and shoulder, all on one side! Heating pad, gas-x strips and liquid loratab. If you don't have a heating pad I would recommend getting one before your surgery..mine is a godsend....No desire to eat or drink, so I have to make myself sip Protein Water. Hoping tomorrow is better pain wise but I am finding the pain manageable...Good vibes to all up coming banders and healing wishes for the recently banded!

Hello All,

I'm getting banded this Thursday the 20th (yayyyy!!!). I'm excited and ready for this new beginning for me. I have a question for those of you that were already banded, but if you have any advice I will take it. I want to know what you guys would recommend me buying before he surgery to make the post-op process easier?

Also, are there any Vitamins that you guys would recommend and have had god experience with? Maybe some that would help with Hair loss and such.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
